Packaging that survives the shelf
A box gets three seconds and a fluorescent tube.

Fig. 01 — Shelf test, Halden supermarket, 9 a.m.
Article
We print every packaging route at full size and take it to a real shop. It goes on the shelf next to its competitors, under their lights, and we walk past it at the speed people actually walk.
Most beautiful packaging fails that test. Fine type disappears, pale colours turn grey, and anything clever on the side panel is never seen.
What survives
One idea per face, large type, and a colour that owns the shelf. Everything else can live on the back.
